Sen. Paul floats draft bill to reauthorize CISA 2015 with changes on info-sharing protections, free speech section

Senate Homeland Security Chairman Rand Paul’s (R-KY) plan in a draft bill to address the reauthorization of the Cybersecurity Information Sharing Act of 2015 involves removing Freedom of Information Act protections and putting in new restrictions on the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency’s activities on free speech.

The draft bill obtained by Inside Cybersecurity contains two sections -- one to reauthorize CISA 2015 for two years with several changes and the other titled, the “Free Speech Protection Act of 2025.”...
