Presidential advisory committee approves software assurance report; NSC’s Greene provides updates on critical infrastructure

The National Security Telecommunications Advisory Committee took the first step Tuesday in its four-stage plan to provide recommendations on internet resilience to the White House, approving a report offering several ways to boost software assurance best practices.

The report recommends the creation of public-private task force to develop guidance on software assurance and software supply chain best practices, and proposes using a model similar to the NIST cybersecurity framework to get input from stakeholders.
