Omnibus appropriations law features measure to secure state, local government websites with help from CISA

State and local governments will get additional resources and help from CISA to improve the security of their websites using the .gov domain, through provisions that were staunchly supported by the leading association for state CIOs and included in the omnibus fiscal 2021 funding measure passed by Congress and enacted in December.

The DotGov Online Trust in Government Act moves the General Services Administration’s DotGov program for domain registration and management to the Department of Homeland Security.
