NSA provides risk mitigations for Software Defined Network Controllers used in defense systems

The National Security Agency is recommending technical mitigations to ensure software-driven network management solutions are secure in the context of national security systems, Department of Defense and Defense Industrial Base use cases, according to an agency information sheet.

Software Defined Network Controllers “are packaged solutions for using a single point to manage the entire network,” NSA’s Ryan Larson said in a Monday press release.
