NIST updates foundational publication for engineering trustworthy secure systems

The National Institute of Standards and Technology has released a highly anticipated final update to its foundational guide for engineering trustworthy secure systems, designed to establish a discipline that can be used across environments regardless of purpose, type, size and scope.

The discipline is known as “systems security engineering” and is explained in the 195-page Special Publication 800-160 Volume 1 Rev. 1.
