NIST sees opportunity to update secure software attestation common form with details on generative artificial intelligence

Work mandated under President Biden’s artificial executive order could eventually lead to updates on the NIST Secure Software Development Framework for procurement purposes, according to NIST’s Kevin Stine, who spoke at an agency workshop on next steps to develop companion guidance for generative AI.
