NIST’s Ross to retire from government service after 27-year career working on federal information security

Ron Ross, a long-time fellow at the National Institute of Standards and Technology, will retire from government service, according to a LinkedIn post, leaving behind a legacy of transforming how the federal government approaches risk management internally.

“I have decided to retire from federal service. It has been an extraordinary honor and privilege to serve the American people in cybersecurity positions in the United States military, the Intelligence Community, and Civilian Government,” Ross said in the Feb. 6 post....
