NIST releases draft update to cyber log management planning guide

The National Institute of Standards and Technology is updating its guidance on cybersecurity log management in a new draft out for public comment that addresses how the landscape has changed over the past 17 years.

The logging guide, originally released in 2006, is being revised to provide a "playbook to help any organization plan improvements to its cybersecurity log management practices in support of regulatory requirements and recommended practices,” according to a Wednesday announcement from NIST.
