NIST releases ‘quick-start’ companion guide for privacy, security controls catalog publication

The National Institute of Standards and Technology has released a new publication outlining three baselines for a vast catalog of security and privacy controls for information systems designed to help with risk management.

NIST Special Publication 800-53B, “Control Baselines for Information Systems and Organizations,” is a companion guide to help organizations understand the catalog introduced last month in an update to NIST SP 800-53.
