NIST publishes final advisory board report on barriers to Internet of Things adoption featuring cyber considerations

The National Institute of Standards and Technology’s Internet of Things Advisory Board has published a highly anticipated report to inform the government’s work on fostering IoT adoption, including recommendations to establish greater trust in internet-connected devices.

“Establishing trust in IoT is crucial for widespread adoption and public confidence. Secure, private, and reliable operation of interconnected devices is essential to achieve such trust,” the report says. It was released Tuesday by NIST, on behalf of the IoT Advisory Board.
