NIST finalizes update to industrial control system guide with more detail on operational technology security

The National Institute of Standards and Technology has issued an update to its foundational publication on securing industrial control systems, with an expanded scope to address operational technology needs.

"This document provides guidance for establishing secure operational technology (OT) while addressing OT’s unique performance, reliability, and safety requirements,” NIST says in the updated publication. The guidance was last updated in 2015.
