NIST finalizes proposal to test operational technology recovery from cyber attacks targeted at manufacturing

NIST’s National Cybersecurity Center of Excellence has finalized its proposal to launch a new initiative exploring how operational technology can recover from a cyber attack, focused on the manufacturing sector.

“Industrial control systems (ICS) and devices that run manufacturing environments play a critical role in the supply chain. Manufacturing organizations rely on ICS to monitor and control physical processes that produce goods for public consumption,” the NCCoE said in a Thursday announcement on the final project description publication.
