NIST finalizes cybersecurity framework profile for incident response efforts

The National Institute of Standards and Technology has finalized a cybersecurity framework profile to provide guidance on incident response with considerations on cyber risk management and the identification of priority elements of each function in the framework.

“This publication seeks to assist organizations with incorporating cybersecurity incident response recommendations and considerations throughout their cybersecurity risk management activities as described by the NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF) 2.0,” NIST says in the April 3 publication.
