NIST cyber center looks for ways to be ‘more nimble,’ with shorter and quicker work products

The National Institute of Standards and Technology is examining its structure for releasing publications focused on cybersecurity to provide short guides based on agency work on topical issues, and redesigning its publications for cyber leaders within organizations.

NIST’s Cybersecurity Center of Excellence is responsible for projects that bring agencies, academic and industry groups together to develop solutions for challenges that can be solved using existing technology. NCCoE projects typically take a year to 18 months to build out, but there...
