NCD Coker identifies guiding principles for cyber workforce development, upcoming cyber efforts

National Cyber Director Harry Coker emphasized the importance of developing a capable cyber workforce and eliminating barriers to employment in his first public address as the new ONCD chief.

The ONCD is engaging with communities to “spur development of ecosystems of workers, educators, employers, and others” and fill “more than half a million vacant cyber jobs nationwide,” Coker said Thursday at an event on the Community College of Baltimore County’s Essex campus.
