Moody’s finds high adoption rate of advanced cyber defenses in telecom, tech companies that face increased risk

Telecommunications and technology companies are investing in advanced cyber governance and defense practices in response to an increased risk profile faced by their sectors, according to a report from Moody’s Ratings.

Survey results show that companies in the telecommunications, media and technology sectors “report having a cyber manager and more cyber expertise at board level than the global median” and demonstrate “more frequent reporting to the CEO and the board,” Moody’s says in the June 6 report.
