Microsoft suggests Commerce Dept. adopt mandatory cybersecurity controls for AI chip providers

Microsoft is recommending the Commerce Department impose cybersecurity requirements for all computer infrastructure providers that support artificial intelligence technologies, while pushing back on an across-the-board ban for remote access by Chinese companies to advanced AI chips.
