Microsoft maps NIST privacy framework to international standards in signaling early adoption

Tech giant Microsoft has mapped international data security and privacy standards to the “preliminary” draft privacy framework being developed by the National Institute of Standards and Technology, a move touted by NIST officials to encourage other companies to be early adopters of the document even before it's issued as final in the near future.
