McCaul poised to offer DHS cyber reorganization bill with markup expected in June

House Homeland Security Chairman Michael McCaul (R-TX) said today that he plans to introduce “in about a week” his long-awaited bill for reorganization of the Department of Homeland Security to elevate and consolidate its cybersecurity functions into a single agency, with a committee markup of the plan expected next month.

The legislation is intended to boost the cybersecurity “mission and priority” of DHS in a way “that they have never really seen before,” McCaul said at a national security forum...
