Mayorkas calls for harmonizing incident reporting regulation with international partners

Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas wants to engage with international partners as CISA builds out its upcoming incident reporting regulation to find opportunities for harmonization, and has identified other places for collaboration on DHS-led initiatives with global implications.

When DHS sets regulations, Mayorkas said Tuesday, “part of doing it smartly is to avoid overly burdensome and duplicative requirements.” He emphasized the need to “simultaneously look for opportunities to harmonize regulations domestically and with international partners.”
