Marsh McLennan details increasing compliance costs associated with regulatory overload in response to ONCD request for information

Insurance broker Marsh McLennan is raising concerns over costs required to reach compliance with duplicative cyber regulations and potential impacts that could lead to organizations prioritizing compliance over cybersecurity.

“The top challenge we think of in regard to conflicting or mutually exclusive regulations occurs when organizations must comply with regulators from different places, be it states, federal agencies, and/or international bodies,” Marsh says in comments submitted on Oct. 27 to the Office of the National Cyber Director.
