Key Senate Armed Services member questions impact of proposed National Cyber Director on other agencies

Sen. Mike Rounds (R-SD) asked leaders of the Cyberspace Solarium Commission whether a new National Cyber Director post would create a layer of bureaucracy hindering the direct channel the Defense Department and other sector-specific agencies have to the Oval Office, in a long-awaited hearing to air concerns over the commission’s recommendation.
