Industry urges FCC to avoid ‘fragmentation’ across government on IoT cyber regulation

A proposal from the Federal Communications Commission to leverage its equipment approval authorities to boost Internet of Things cybersecurity must be aligned with other federal IoT initiatives, according to several industry groups that have asked the FCC to avoid instituting a new cybersecurity regime.
