House poised to clear McCaul proposal for cyber-incident response teams

The House today is expected to approve a proposal by Homeland Security Chairman Michael McCaul (R-TX) that would establish “cyber hunt and incident response teams” as part of the National Cybersecurity and Communications Integration Center, which monitors cyber and other threats to the nation's critical infrastructure.

The “DHS Cyber Incident Response Teams Act” was unanimously approved by McCaul's committee on March 7 and was placed on the “suspension of rules” calendar along with 10 other non-controversial items late on...
