House appropriators to vote on $2.4 billion CISA budget, Solarium Commission funding recommendations

The full House Appropriations Committee meets today to consider the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency’s budget for fiscal 2021 as part of a markup session for the Department of Homeland Security, taking up funding for CISA-related Cyberspace Solarium Commission proposals approved last year by Congress.

The budget plan includes an increase in funding for CISA’s Joint Cyber Planning Office, money to further the development of the agency’s “Continuity of Economy Planning,” and $20 million to establish a “Cyber Response...
