House appropriators consider policy riders to prohibit CISA ‘misinformation’ work, spending for SEC cyber incident disclosure rule
The House Appropriations Committee is starting work to approve fiscal 2025 spending bills this week featuring policy riders which could have implications for future cybersecurity work at CISA and the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The fiscal 2025 Homeland Security bill introduced on Monday would provide $2.9 billion for the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency. According to a summary, the proposal is “$57.8 million above the Fiscal Year 2024 enacted level and $78.2 million below the President’s Budget Request.”...
