GSA introduces ‘Polaris,’ a new contract vehicle with potential to expand cyber certification program

The General Services Administration has put out a draft request for proposals on “Polaris,” a new contract vehicle for providing IT services to federal agencies, which includes language urging interested bidders to prepare for the Pentagon’s cyber certification program requirements.

The draft RFP is GSA’s latest effort to prepare contractors who want to do work with the Defense Department as it rolls out the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification program.

The Defense Department is integrating CMMC requirements over a five-year period...
