Governors urge Trump to ensure states have flexibility on implementing cyber policy

The National Governors Association in a new report urges President-elect Trump to provide states with “maximum flexibility” to develop and implement policies for improving cyber defense and enhancing incident response planning.

The recommendations published Jan. 13 come ahead of NGA's winter meeting in February and a “State of the States” address on Jan. 25 by the NGA chairman, Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe, and Nevada Gov. Brian Sandoval, the vice chair, outlining “collective priorities” to the new administration and Congress....
