GAO identifies State Dept. challenges in addressing international cyber priorities

The State Department’s cybersecurity bureau is working to address coordination problems within the department and at the interagency level, according to a recent report from the Government Accountability Office evaluating efforts to increase capacity building for cyber diplomacy.

State’s Bureau of Cyberspace and Digital Policy was established in April 2022 to lead efforts “to address national security challenges, economic opportunities, and implications to U.S. values associated with cyberspace, digital technologies, and digital policy," according to the Jan. 11 report....
