Former CISO Touhill backs indictment of North Korean hacker as 'rule of law'

Gregory Touhill, the former federal Chief Information Security Officer, said indictments issued Thursday against a North Korean programmer linked to the hacking of Sony Pictures in 2014 and WannaCry in 2017 are a clear signal to foreign adversaries and a component of a cyber deterrent strategy.

“American law enforcement is not giving up, and this shows we will follow the rule of law” in pursuing cyber aggressors, Touhill said in remarks to Inside Cybersecurity following a panel discussion he moderated...
