FBI cyber leader Kaiser moves to private sector after 20 years in national security roles
Cyber Division deputy assistant director Cynthia Kaiser has left the FBI to join cyber resilience-focused security firm Halcyon, where she will concentrate on ransomware threat research.
Kaiser’s departure was made public in a June 3 announcement from Halcyon on her new role at the cyber firm. Kaiser joined the FBI’s Cyber Division in 2017, where she was responsible for building out “threat intelligence sharing platforms” used to disrupt “major ransomware organizations” including LockBit, according to the announcement.
