EPA publishes cyber procurement checklist targeted at water sector to protect supply chains

The Environmental Protection Agency has released a checklist for water and wastewater utilities to evaluate the cyber practices of supply chain vendors and managed service providers to help make procurement decisions.

“The purpose of this checklist is to help water and wastewater systems evaluate the cybersecurity practices of your vendors or your suppliers, your manufacturers, integrators and your managed service providers,” EPA cybersecurity specialist Cameron Burden said in an Oct. 15 webinar targeted at the sector.
