DOJ urges court to reject effort to block Trump election security commission data request

Justice Department lawyers are pressing a federal district court to deny efforts by privacy advocates to block the work of a commission formed by President Trump to investigate potential voter fraud, in a case that could determine the federal government's authority to set security requirements for election data.
