DHS missed deadline for submitting comprehensive cybersecurity strategy to Congress

The Department of Homeland Security is months away from completing work on a comprehensive strategy for carrying out its cybersecurity responsibilities, including metrics for measuring implementation of the strategy that is already past due.

“We are working on the cybersecurity strategy as required under the National Defense Authorization Act, recognizing that it was due last week,” said DHS acting Deputy Undersecretary Jeanette Manfra Tuesday before a subcommittee of the House Homeland Security Committee.
