DHS announcement on cyber standards body could come in late August

The Department of Homeland Security may not announce the selection of a non-governmental organization to lead the development of cybersecurity information-sharing standards until the end of August, even though the agency is slated to make the award decision by Aug. 10.

The effort to select a standards body is part of DHS' work to implement the executive order that President Obama signed at the White House's cybersecurity summit in February. The order called for the creation of information sharing...
