Deputy AG Monaco: DOJ is working on multiple fronts to combat ransomware with international partners

The Justice Department is launching an international virtual currency initiative along with allies to “combat the transnational abuse of virtual currency,” according to Deputy Attorney General Lisa Monaco who provided an overview of the department’s efforts to disrupt ransomware attacks at an event today.
