Defense Dept. now eyes 2022 for setting up zero trust portfolio office

The Defense Department is shifting its plans to 2022 for setting up a zero trust portfolio management office under the oversight of DOD CIO John Sherman, according to a Pentagon official.

“DoD anticipates standing up the office in the second quarter FY22,” DOD spokesman Russell Goemaere told Inside Cybersecurity. “We are finalizing the organizational structure and outlining the new office's roles and responsibilities.”
