Cyber certification rulemaking faces delay at Defense Dept., while accreditation body’s efforts move forward

The Defense Department’s work to complete the final rule for its cyber certification program has hit a snag in the review process, as officials work to provide a draft report to a key DOD regulations council.

The Pentagon is in the process of reviewing the rule through its Defense Acquisition Regulation Council. The group created an “Adhoc Team” to review public comments on the rule in April and draft the final rule.
