CrowdStrike annual report identifies China as top cyber threat headed into 2025

China’s cyber capabilities adapted in 2024 through specializing in targeting certain critical infrastructure sectors while hiding operations from network defenders and law enforcement, according to an annual threat report from CrowdStrike.

“In 2024, China’s cyber espionage operations reached new levels of maturity, with adversaries maintaining a higher operational tempo than observed in 2023 and engaging in prolific targeting,” CrowdStrike says in the report released today detailing observations from 2024 threats.
