CISA finalizes cloud use case guidance for Trusted Internet Connections initiative

The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Agency has updated guidance for agencies to help with securing their networks in cloud environments under the third iteration of its Trusted Internet Connections initiative.

The TIC 3.0 cloud use case guidance document explores considerations for Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS), Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), and Email-as-a-Service (EaaS).

The guidance says, “The initial versions of the TIC initiative sought to consolidate federal networks and standardize perimeter security for the federal enterprise. As outlined in OMB Memorandum (M) 19-26:...
