CISA and international partners release suite of publications addressing security of ‘edge devices,’ appliances

The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency has announced a series of publications in collaboration with international partners on cyber best practices for edge devices and appliances commonly targeted by malicious cyber actors.

“Foreign adversaries routinely exploit software vulnerabilities in network edge devices to infiltrate critical infrastructure networks and systems. The damage can be expensive, time-consuming, and reputationally catastrophic for public and private sector organizations,” CISA says in a Feb. 4 alert.
