Carnegie Mellon research hub considers zero trust implementation needs for weapon systems

Carnegie Mellon’s Software Engineering Institute is exploring the application of zero trust principles on weapons systems, in a recent study for the Air Force designed to help the Defense Department meet a 2027 deadline for implementation on enterprise information technology and prepare for future efforts.
