Cantwell unveils privacy bill as Senate Commerce prepares for pivotal hearing

Sen. Maria Cantwell (D-WA), ranking member of the Senate Commerce Committee, has introduced consumer privacy legislation as Chairman Roger Wicker (R-MS) prepares for a Dec. 4 hearing where privacy advocates and former regulators will likely square off over protecting personal information in an increasingly digital economy.
