Biden data security executive order directs Justice Dept. to develop regulations for protecting personal sensitive information from nation states

The White House has announced a series of actions to protect Americans’ sensitive data from being purchased in bulk by nation states and their affiliates, including an upcoming advanced notice of proposed rulemaking that will put in place transaction restrictions on certain categories of data including cloud-service agreements between vendors.
