Automotive suppliers to test Software Bill of Materials concept targeted at manufacturers

The Automotive Information Sharing and Analysis Center is leading a new proof of concept to determine how using a Software Bill of Materials could help suppliers communicate with auto manufacturers.

The project is intended to build on the work of the National Telecommunications and Information Administration’s multistakeholder software transparency initiative, which has worked for the past two years to develop a common understanding of what an SBOM is and how it can be used across various sectors.
