Atlantic Council urges software industry to develop compatibility standards, open source security

A new report on the software supply chain from the Atlantic Council examines how industry can work with policymakers to prevent cyber attacks, including by supporting improved baseline standards.

“This report evaluates a dataset of 115 software supply chain attacks and vulnerability disclosures collected from public reporting over the past 10 years to show that software supply chain attacks are popular, impactful, and used to great effect by states,” the report released on Sunday says.
