Arrington: CMMC program pushes forward with pre-rule change efforts, citing pilots and cost review

Defense Department acquisition CISO Katie Arrington says the Pentagon is making progress on its cyber certification program that will eventually encompass the entire Defense Industrial Base.

Changes to the Defense Department’s acquisition rules for the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification program are currently under review at OMB’s Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs. Once the proposed rule goes out for public comment and DOD releases the final version, Arrington said it will start showing up in government contract solicitations.
