‘Hack back’ bill marks move toward using private innovations for cyber deterrence

A “hack back” bill introduced in the House last week aims to leverage private-sector solutions -- over the government’s own response measures -- to deter cyber threats, as policymakers and analysts alike say the U.S. needs to ramp up its ability to fend off cyber aggressors and prepare for emerging technologies.
