U.S., Canada forge agreement on electric grid cyber protection

The White House and the Canadian government have agreed to offer mutual assistance in securing the electric grid from cybersecurity threats, according to a new strategy released by the Obama administration.

The new agreement between President Obama and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau establishes a strategic partnership between the two governments to protect the electric grid from cyber threats, manage and enhance response and recovery efforts, and build a more secure and resilient electric grid.
