Trump, trade official suggest progress on tech, other issues with China

President Trump and his top trade official on Friday suggested progress on cyber-related technology issues in trade talks with China that were extended over the weekend.

"The answer's yes, it's one of the structural issues. It has to be done properly and we've made a lot of progress in it, so whoever told you we weren't just didn't know what they were talking about," U.S. Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer told reporters in the Oval Office on Friday.
